Kate and I have had a fun few days. On Friday I went with her class to a field trip to Heritage Park (a.k.a. This Is The Place). It was interesting to learn how Native Americans skinned and tanned the hides of animals. Ask Kate about it some time (but not when your eating!).
She also spent some time making corn meal with rocks. On Saturday, She went to a birthday party. Complete with face painting.
My favorite with Kate was on Monday. It was my birthday and I had errands to run. So I checked Kate out of school and we went and got a Jamba Juice. We giggled a lot because we were sluffing. She went with me on my errands. It made my day having her with me. I took her back to school before lunch. It was so much fun, I still smile thinking about our time sluffing!
Sluffing school with your Mom is the best, since she is one of the few people who can actually get you out, without getting you in trouble :).
